What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Intern position at Wolfram?
Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Intern to join its Quality Assurance department. This intern will help implement internal tools for the Quality Assurance team to use.
Responsibilities
- Retrieving data stored on MySQL backend with Python or PHP
- Retrieving usage information in JSON format and interpreting it in accordance with the tools that use the backend data
- Constructing new JSON objects that represent the backend data in detail so they can be used by other tools
- Writing web interfaces to view and search backend data using constructed data objects
- Implementing a Wolfram Language function to access test plan data within Wolfram Language
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Knowledge of programming languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Linux operating systems
Location: Champaign, Illinois, or remote
Job Type: Part time (Up to 29 hours per week)/Temporary
Reporting to: Senior Test Systems Developer & Data Analyst
Salary (for eligible candidates residing in the United States): The pay rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.
