JOB DESCRIPTION
Wolfrum Roofing & Exteriors is a full-service exterior envelope contractor headquartered in Delaware, OH. We provide commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing, exteriors, and railing services in Central Ohio and the surrounding areas.
Summary
- The Commercial Siding Estimator is a critical position within Wolfrum Roofing and Exteriors LLC. Estimators are responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring we know everything required, successfully bidding, and winning the project. Estimators must aggressively follow up with vendors and subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Estimators also work with the customers to follow up on bids and budgets to close the business.

Bid Administration
- Prepares and maintains the status of plan reproduction.
- Solicits and maintains communications with subcontractors and vendors
- Prepares subcontractor's bid packages.
- Prepares vendor material lists for pricing
- Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractors
- Ensures that we have the proper coverage from subcontractors and vendors on bid day
- Contact vendor to obtain material quotes
- Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- S.ubmits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline-no exceptions
- Log all relevant information
Project Knowledge
- Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up questions on every bid.
- Has a thorough understanding of the scope of the specific trades assigned
- Minimize exclusions and deliver a complete pricing package to customers
- Include value engineering ideas with bids
Follow-up and closing
- Consistently follows up on submitted bids and budgets with customers to close business.
- Knows customers and develops relationships with architects, general contractors, construction managers, and property managers.
Project turnover
- Properly turns over bid documents and vendor quotes to Project Management promptly
- R.eview project documents with the Project Manager and highlight areas of concern
- R.eview job costs with the Project Manager team and highlights any subs/vendors of concern
B.uild long-term relationships
- Handle all subcontractor and vendor interactions in a manner that builds a long-term relationship.
- H.andle all customer interactions in a manner that builds long-term relationships.
- Understand and act in a manner that develops a "one team" attitude within WRE. All WRE will speak to customers in "one voice."
Go the extra mile.
- Ensure that WRE's proposals are competitive in the marketplace and have the most excellent chance of creating a work contract. This may require the employee to arrive early, stay late, or perform tasks not specifically outlined in the job description.

Required Education and Experience
- Minimum four (4) years in commercial construction estimating (Siding).
Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year/ Based on Experience
