Social Media Planner & Community Builder Job Description:
We are seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Social Media Planner to help lead our online presence across various platforms. Candidate should be a strong writer and share a passion for social media community building. Social Media focuses, but not limited to Meta platforms, YouTube, and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for our social media to enhance brand voice, community loyalty, engagement, and achieve marketing goals. This role requires a combination of creativity, writing skills, strategic thinking, vision, and organizational skills.
A day in the life of a Social Media Planner:
- Work days of Monday-Friday, & some Saturdays (as needed)
- Working hours 8am-5pm (Central Time)
- Collaborate & communicate with cross-functional teams for content creation
- Research trends and practices to maintain brand relevance
- Community Engagement through comments, messages, and reviews
- Work hand in hand with Marketing Manager and Director to strategize and execute
- Create, plan, and organize content with the creative team
- Occasionally travel with content coordinator to create content
- Write scripts and create vision for YouTube video content
- Assist in the department as needed

Qualifications and Skill Sets:
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms or online communities.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple platforms, campaigns, and deadlines.
- Strong writing skills to develop video scripts, captions, visuals, and campaigns.
- Keen eye for detail and creativity
- Passion for storytelling and building authentic connections with target audiences
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within the organization
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and apply insights to improve performance
- Stay up to date with trends, algorithms, and platform changes
- Understand platform SEO to enhance visibility and driven traffic
- Basic knowledge for tools like Asana, Canva, Adobe, and CapCut are a bonus.
- Adaptability to learn new tools and creative trends
- Can do attitude with willingness to learn and grow
Salary:
$65,000 annual salary
