The Scrum Master is a servant leader with the demeanor and acumen to handle most any situation faced by our development teams. This job profile is meant for jobs that are fully dedicated Scrum Masters, not for jobs that have Scrum Master duties as part of their role.

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting US is looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Scrum Master to join our team. The Senior Scrum Master is an important role to help identify key measures of organizational and team agility and use that data to help influence positive change to improve business outcomes. The Senior Scrum Master seeks to coach and mentor engineering, product management, and development management staff on good agile patterns and practices, how to become self-organizing, manage cross-team dependencies, always strive for continuous improvement, and how best to navigate planning and decision making in the way that makes business sense.

Responsibilities

Embrace servant leadership and lead agile behavioral change by example.

Educate, coach, and mentor, teams, and development managers to help improve organizational outcomes thru the application and adaptation of agile frameworks to our business needs.

Work with a variety of styles (hands-on, consultant, or coaching) with new and existing teams of various sizes and locations, depending on need.

Help identify impediments and dependencies, and work to create and employ effective strategies to overcome them.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation and facilitation of a continuous improvement framework that captures and tracks improvement items through identification, ownership, and completion.

Facilitate, teach, and / or mentor conflict resolution discussions and alternative approaches to achieve desired business outcomes.

Drive transparency and trust, identify and measure metrics that assess team agility relative to business performance and use those metrics to help drive improvements.

Partner with Agile Coaches, Release Train Engineers, and Scrum Masters across the organization to align on driving the intended agile transformation outcomes.

Facilitates one or more agile teams, each working under the Scrum methodology.

Experience

5 years of experience working in software development companies using Agile methodologies as a Scrum Master.

Have hands-on experience utilizing Scrum in software development organizations

Expert in agile values, principles, and practices and lean ways of working.

Have demonstrated experience transitioning software teams to an agile framework and / or improving organizational outcomes thru application and adapting agile frameworks to organizations.

Have excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including coaching and mentoring

Experience influencing peers and stakeholders and leading change.

Passionate about sharing your experiences and knowledge and growing your peers.

Driven, curious, and a continuous learner who strives to understand the business impact of work.

Ideal to have

Agile Framework

SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Practitioner (SP), or higher-level SAFe certifications

Ability to work hybrid onsite Tuesdays and Wed
