The Senior Agilist role fundamentally guides the modern development team by taking an active role in planning, facilitation and measures to help the team achieve its committed outcomes. This role requires solid, practical experience with the techniques and approaches to guide, support and improve product teams. You will collaborate intensively with your team members and Product Owners. You will also interact with Cognizant clients to mentor, consult, and assist them in making appropriate process decisions and solve any blocking points.

Responsibilities

• 11 years of IT experience in Scrum master and Agile teams.
• Strong ability to communicate across development, quality and product teams
• Ability to understand, explain and work thru technical impediments
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives and work across multiple scrum teams.
• Serve as a mentor to the Scrum Team, promoting Agile values and principles
• Remove obstacles and impediments that may hinder the team’s progress.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a clear understanding of the product backlog and priorities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team reflection and feedback.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Monitor team performance metrics and help drive improvements in productivity and quality.
• Promote a collaborative team environment and ensure adherence to Scrum processes.
• Support and engage in Agile training sessions and workshops as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a scrum Master and RTE or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
• Good understanding of cloud and APIs is a plus.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong release management skills working to schedule, communicate and orchestrate releases
• Familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA,Rally) is preferred.
