What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surface Supervisor position at Wolverine Fuels?
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the surface coal processing and truck loading facilities maximizing the effective utilization of the personnel and resources provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Supervises all aspects of safe and efficient operation of the coal handling and truck loading activities. Demonstrates safety as a value.
Communicates behavioral based safety process to all employees and removes barriers in a timely manner.
Implements and maintains compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees as it pertains to surface coal handling and customer quality management to maximize revenue.
Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates operations of all coal handling and equipment maintenance activities.
Work effectively with supervisors, peers, customers and land owners.
MSHA compliance and inspections.
Task training of personnel as required.
Maintains excellent records.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5) years of combined surface and underground mining experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Maintenance Experience Preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills both written and oral
- Excellent Computer Skills, Including MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
- Excellent safety and attendance record
- Excellent safety and attendance record
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or ability to obtain
- Utah Surface Foreman Certification or ability to obtain
- Utah Surface Electrical Certification or ability to obtain
