Certified Surgical Technologist - First Assist (65073)

The CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) will assist the operating room surgeons and staff to assure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

• Communicate with surgeon continuously as needed about the patient’s condition and assist surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Assist circulator and anesthesia provider in preparation of the patient/OR suite to include, but not limited to, foley catheter placement; tourniquet application; cricoid pressure application; gathering needed supplies/equipment for the procedure; other procedures as needed.
• Accountable for delivering quality patient care and for promoting a positive image of the company.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values.
• Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist certification from a national certifying body or must be a Medical Graduate, Doctor of Osteopathy, or foreign medical graduate.
• BLS required.
• Minimum 2 years previous experience as Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
