The Nurse Navigator (RN) for the Womens Care Gynecological Oncology practice is a critical member of the healthcare team, responsible for guiding patients through their cancer care journey. This role involves coordinating patient care, providing education and support, and facilitating communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers. The Nurse Navigator (RN) will ensure that patients receive comprehensive, compassionate, and timely care while addressing their physical, emotional, and informational needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients diagnosed with gynecological cancers.
- Provide education on diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans to patients and their families.
- Address patient concerns and questions, offering emotional support and resources.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care among oncologists, surgeons, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, tests, and treatments to optimize patient flow and minimize delays.
- Ensure timely follow-up on test results and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes and satisfaction to improve care processes.
- Provide patient care to evaluate possible SE of treatment.
- Port flushes
- Lab draws
- Non-mixed drug infusions
- IV hydration
- Navigate chemo patients between hospital and office.

- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Must hold an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology, gynecology, or related field.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
