Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Advocacy, recruit, screen and manage agency volunteers. Organizes volunteer training and volunteer services; attends volunteer recruitment fairs. Position Status, Classification and Schedule
This position is an hourly, non-exempt position. Travel is required as needed to surrounding counties and the work schedule is flexible, based upon normal daytime business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may occur.

· Strong leadership skills.
· Ability to work with donors, community leaders, board members, staff members and volunteers.
· Competency in reading financial statements and budgets; including program budget
development and oversight.
· Knowledge of fundraising and development principles, methods, and procedures.
· Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
· Proven computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Ability to conduct research via the internet, library, and other sources.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
· Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage workflow efficiently.
· Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and match individuals with WRC programs following established criteria
- Conduct direct service and support service trainings on regular basis
- Coordinate and supervise volunteer activities and projects
- Meet with supervisors regularly to understand program needs and coordinate accordingly
- Engage in public speaking and community education presentations
- Develop and maintain volunteers for university/college inter fairs
- Represent tools/events to promote and retain volunteer base
- Develop and maintain systems to assure the collection of data required by funding sources
- Coordinate and manage volunteers at various special events as needed
- Coordinates all aspects of the Holiday Needs program
- Maintain records, files and electronic data of volunteers/interns
- Maintain information on college and university requirements and MOU’s
- Create and distribute various communications and reports
- Continually update volunteer trainings to reflect best practices
- Ensure on-going trainings and educational opportunities for volunteers
- Ensure on-going volunteer recognition
- Collect volunteer/intern feedback to be used for program development
- Mediate volunteer conflicts and inform supervisor of high-risk situations
- Work with staff to ensure necessary volunteer/intern participation
- Any other tasks as assigned
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to management, human resources, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in volunteer management with a non-profit organization. Must complete the Women’s Resource Center training program and all required background checks.
