This position is responsible for providing clinical leadership and policy direction for Women's Advocates; maintaining accepted standards of practice; and administrative and clinical supervision of all counseling / therapy staff. Additionally, the Clinical Health & Wellness Director is responsible for ensuring oversight in the areas of licensing regulations, clinical compliance, legal and ethical regulations, and quality assurance. The Director will manage the Health & Wellness program, and also provide consultation to other departments where mental health and chemical health services are provided.
This Director is in charge of growing and developing our chemical health program, including developing partnerships with medicated treatment programs, coordinating staff Narcan trainings, and developing relationships with local treatment centers. This position will also be available to provide direct client care for crisis intervention and short-term intervention support as needed. The Clinical Health & Wellness Director will be responsible for agency representation and contract monitoring. This position is full-time, with the requirement of working a minimum of four days each week on site at Women's Advocates.
This position is full-time with a minimum of 4 days per week required to be working on-site.
The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $115,000.
I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide oversight for the three direct reports (the Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor, the Mental Health & Wellness Counselor for Shelter, and the Mental Health & Wellness Therapist for Housing) and help ensure excellence in service delivery.
2. Responsible for the growth of programs and implementing process improvements through project management.
3. In charge of growing and developing our chemical health program, including developing partnerships with medicated treatment programs, coordinating staff Narcan trainings & inventory, and developing relationships with local treatment centers.
4. Develop, update, and implement clinical procedures in accordance with DHS (Department of Human Services) and MN regulations.
5. Ensure robust, ethical, and compliant clinical supervision by providing or overseeing contracts for group and individual supervision for mental health and LADC staff.
6. Help develop and launch group therapy sessions / programming.
7. Develop ongoing staff development initiatives consistent with staff licensure requirements and applicable regulations.
8. Provide capacity building and training support for all staff on clinical topic areas and skills, including domestic violence, motivational interviewing, de-escalation, harm reduction theory, and conversation facilitation.
9. Monitor and further develop program evaluation tools around clinical outcomes for programs.
10. Ensure the program meets all contractual goals and funding requirements.
11. Assist staff with urgent clinical situations and provide supervisory crisis coverage
12. Provide individual, or family therapy as needed.
13. Partner with other department directors to establish and promote a positive, nurturing and thriving workplace culture
14. Represent Women's Advocates at meetings with community partners
15. Lead and facilitate the Wellness Program and manage the Wellness Committee.
16. Manage and maintain program budget in compliance with funding requirements and our finance policies. Manage salary allocations for direct reports.
17. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Registered Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a minimum of three years of experience in family therapy.
2. Board-approved licensing supervisor for Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Professionals required. The ability to also supervise the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor is preferred - or to manage a contract for that position's required supervision.
3. A minimum of three (3) years of administrative management and clinical supervisory experience developing and managing programs and clinical teams.
4. Experience supervising therapists, LADC, both licensed and seeking licensure.
5. Extensive clinical experience working with domestic violence impacted youth, families, and substance abuse.
6. Ability to successfully collaborate across inter-agency teams.
7. Ability to effectively lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
8. Demonstrates strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
9. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meticulous attention to detail.
10. Computer literacy required (MS word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project).
11. Demonstrated experience with and / or commitment to intercultural development and anti-racism work in the workplace.
12. Commitment to actively contributing to the organization being a safe space for members of the LGBTQ community.
13. Strong leadership skills with the ability to make independent decisions within the scope of professional practice
14. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial and cultural backgrounds
15. Valid driver's license with current insurance and a reliable motor vehicle.
