The Rooms Technician is an independent position responsible for maintaining guest rooms and property amenities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Our focus lies in creating unforgettable experiences for group/company retreats, team-building events, weddings, and family gatherings. Moreover, we take pride in our dedication to being a youth industry leader through our award-winning Summer Camp and Outdoor Education Program.
General Job Duties:
Responsible for the maintenance of the following in our rooms but not limited to:
- Carpets: Ensure carpets are clean, free of tears, and well-maintained.
- Molding/Closets: Keep molding and closet shelves flush to walls and in good condition.
- Electrical: Maintain switches, plugs, light fixtures, lamps, and other electrical elements in good working order.
- Drywall and Paint: Perform regular touch-ups and repairs during guest turnovers.
- Heating & A/C Units: Ensure proper operation and maintain cleaning schedules in coordination with custodial staff.
- Furniture: Repair, refinish, or recommend replacement of furniture as needed to maintain quality.
- Bathrooms: Maintain plumbing fixtures, towel racks, shower doors, and faucets in good condition.
- Beds: Regularly inspect and maintain bed frames, headboards, and safety rails.
- Windows: Inspect and maintain windows and screens to ensure functionality and safety.
- General: Report major issues to the supervisor, operate equipment safely, and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in construction, general maintenance, or handyman services.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting.
- Familiarity with finish carpentry and general maintenance methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent (HVAC or maintenance certification is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be highly motivated and safety-conscious.
- This role may require driving resort vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
