Job Summary:
The Preschool Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all students. The director will work closely with staff, families, and the school community to provide high-quality early childhood education. This role involves leadership, staff management, curriculum development, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations, including curriculum implementation, classroom management, and staffing.
- Supervise and provide support to teachers and staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children at different developmental stages.
- Ensure the preschool complies with all local, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, addressing concerns and providing regular communication regarding children’s progress.
- Foster a positive relationship with parents, staff, and the community to promote the preschool's mission and values.
- Manage the preschool’s budget, including tuition, expenses, and staffing needs, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Promote the preschool to the community and maintain a strong enrollment base.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of state licensing requirements and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage budgets and understand financial reports.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively engage with staff, parents, and the community in our Mandarin immersion program.
