Job Title: Social Media Specialist (Mombassador)

What We Need

We are seeking a creative and energetic local Social Media Specialist (Mombassador) to represent the Wondrfly brand in Hudson County. As a Mombassador, you will play a vital role in building a strong local community of families who share a love for children and their enrichment/development. Your primary responsibilities will be to create engaging content for social media and interact with local moms and activity providers on different social media platforms. This role may evolve to include fostering relationships within the community, and spreading the Wondrfly brand message – possibly by hosting events as well. The job requires a time commitment of 2-3 hours per week initially. The responsibilities and required time will grow as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Engagement:
• Establish a strong presence within the local Hudson County parenting and family communities.
• Connect with local moms through various channels, primarily social media, community groups, and events.
• Act as a liaison between Wondrfly and local families, addressing their needs, concerns, and suggestions.
• Content Creation:
• Generate high-quality and relatable content related to parenting & family activities, that subtly encourages families to explore Wondrfly.
• Create social media stories, short-form videos, and other content that resonates with the local audience.
• Showcase how Wondrfly seamlessly enhances the family’s activity discovery challenges.
• Brand Advocacy:
• Act as a brand ambassador by authentically promoting Wondrfly and our values within the local community.
• Share personal experiences and stories that highlight the positive impact of Wondrfly.
• Feedback and Insights:
• Gather feedback from local families about Wondrfly services and communicate insights to the Wondrfly leadership team.
• Provide input on local market trends and preferences to help shape future product development and inform marketingcontent.
• Stay hyper-current on what Wondrfly offers (and does not offer) to each segment of our audience
• (Future) Relationship Building
• Establish and maintain relationships with local media, bloggers, influencers, and community leaders.
• Collaborate with the Wondrfly marketing team to develop partnerships and co-promotions.
• (Future) Event Planning:
• Organize and host local events, workshops, and meetups that align with the Wondrfly brand values.
• Collaborate with other local influencers, businesses, and organizations to create engaging and memorable experiences for families.

Qualifications:

• Must be current or recent resident of Hudson County, NJ
• Passion for kids, and family-oriented lifestyles, and a genuine interest in fostering meaningful connections within the community.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative flair for content creation.
• Highly collaborative, helpful and kind
• Active presence on social media platforms (IG & FB preferred, LinkedIn, TT & YT also considered)
• Majority of audience (40% or more) located in Hudson County, NJ
• Deep understanding of various social media platforms
• Demonstrable experience creating various types of content (short form video, Stories, carousels)
• Prior experience in community engagement. Brand ambassadorship experience is a plus.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices

Pay: $25.00 per hour
