Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Construction Foreman to oversee and manage daily operations on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil construction projects and a proven ability to lead teams while ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Supervision: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring all tasks are completed according to project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team assigning tasks and ensuring productivity.
- Safety Management: Ensure the site complies with all safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and enforcing safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Monitor construction activities and ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to design plans.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate with superintendent to ensure smooth operation of the project. Manage and adjust schedules as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site, working to minimize disruptions to the project.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work progress, labor hours, equipment usage, and material consumption. Provide regular updates to project superintendent.
- Equipment: Ensure that all equipment repairs or maintenance is reported to the mechanics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of the civil construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- OSHA or equivalent safety certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around a construction site for extended periods.
- Ability to perform manual labor as needed.
- Must be able to work in outdoor conditions, including exposure to varying weather.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
