Director of Imaging Services

Provides personal care and professional excellence by directing and coordinating department activities in accordance with accepted standards and administrative policies.

Job Duties

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of imaging services, ensuring efficient workflow, resource allocation, and timely delivery of imaging services. Implement and monitor departmental policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure optimal performance and service quality.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic goals for imaging services in alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives. Lead efforts to enhance patient care, adopt innovative technologies, and improve departmental processes.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and accreditation requirements, such as those set by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Joint Commission. Implement and monitor quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
• Develop, manage, and optimize the department's budget, ensuring effective use of resources while controlling costs. Work with senior management to prepare financial forecasts and ensure financial targets are met.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure imaging services meet the clinical needs of the patients. Ensure effective communication between imaging staff and other departments to support integrated patient care.
• Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and acquisition of radiology equipment to ensure the department remains current with technological advancements. Evaluate new imaging technologies and recommend purchases or upgrades to improve diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Science or Business Administration
  
  

Required Licenses And Certifications

• Current Ohio Radiology Licensure Required
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT certification required
  
  

Required Experience

• 5 years' experience in radiology required
• 3 years' experience in leadership required
  
  

Preferred Education

• Master's Degree in Radiological Science, healthcare Administration or related filed
  
  

Preferred Certification

• Certified Radiology Administration CRA
