What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Patient Care/ Insurance Coordinator position at Wood Park Dental?

We are seeking a candidate with prior experience as a Treatment Coordinator (or a similar role) within the dental field. However, we are also excited to consider candidates who possess the qualities and skills to excel in this role. The responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited, to the following duties:
- new patient consults to review treatment options, discuss patient question/concerns, address dental insurance and financial options available to patients
- Treatment options are specific to each of our patient’s needs must feel comfortable and confident discussing fee(s) and finances with patients
- schedule surgeries, post-operative exams, and new patient exams
- liaison for the doctors, referring office and patients
- submit and track pre-estimates to dental insurance companies (Delta Dental provider)
- assist with answering multiple phone lines
- confirm appointments and verify protocol has been followed for each appointment
- assist patients when "checking in" and "checking out" of the office while adhering to proper protocols for both
- To always be welcoming, helpful, polite, and responsive to patients needs
Hours of operation is from Monday – Thursday with half days every other Friday but will coordinate the hours that best fit your schedule. Competitive pay based on qualifications and may be eligible for comprehensive benefits that includes: PTO, medical insurance, 401K w/match, HSA, annual uniform allowance, as well as paid holidays, CPR and continuing education.
