Job Title: Plant Mechanic
A motivated and experienced plant mechanic is required to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment associated with the Pyrolysis process.
- Coordinating and planning major overhauls of OEM equipment supported by 3rd party vendors.
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment including pumps, compressors, and engines.
- Repairing, rebuilding, and replacing centrifugal/positive displacement pumps, air compressors, industrial cooling fans, gas/diesel engines, electrical generators, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and HVAC systems.
- Replacing/refurbishing mechanical seals and performing alignment of rotating equipment using conventional and automated means.
- Working on hydraulic man lifts, forklifts, and other rolling plant equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma and 6-8 years experience as a plant mechanic or equivalent.
- Formal training/trade school accounts for 3 years experience; technical or trade school education in mechanical or related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems commonly found in plant equipment.
- Ability to work a 4-day week, 10-hour day with possibility of evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or respond to callouts as necessary.
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
