What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Building Attendant, Downtown FT position at Wood Street Commons?
Wood Street Commons provides housing to adults at risk of homelessness. Must be comfortable working in a Human Service environment.
- We support people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addition. Must be compassionate and able to remain calm, professional and deescalate issues.
Building Attendant will be responsible nights either working within building depending may need to cover front desk as needed on shift for breaks or call off's.
Overnight
Monday through Friday overnight in at 11:30pm out at 8am.
MUST BE ABLE TO ARRIVE ON TIME FOR YOUR SHIFT AND BE DEPENDABLE.
This includes but not limited to:
Some shifts you may be at front desk some shift you may be cleaning floors
- Cleaning of common areas including hallways and restrooms.
- Cleaning, sanitizing and stocking restrooms
- Sweep, mop hallways
- Remove/ pull trash from floors , bring trash cans out or in building
- Clean, sanitize, sweep and mop common areas including elevators, community room and restrooms.
- Resolving resident conflicts
- Addressing resident lock outs.
Must be calm and able to handle people with drug, alcohol and mental issues.
Must pass criminal background and drug test (including marijuana). EOE.
