What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnights Building Attendants Downtown PT position at Wood Street Commons?
Wood Street Commons provides housing to adults at risk of homelessness. Must be comfortable working in a Human Service environment.
- We support people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addition. Must be compassionate and able to remain calm, professional and deescalate issues.
Building Attendant will be responsible nights either covering front desk or working within building depending on shift and coverage.
Fri, Sat, Sun (overnights) 11:30pm to 8am
This includes but not limited to:
Some shifts you may be at front desk some shift you may be cleaning floors
- Security at front desk making sure only residents enter building, monitoring security camera. Signing in visitors during visiting hours.
- Resolving resident conflicts
- Addressing resident lock outs and needs
- Cleaning, sanitizing and stocking restrooms
- Sweep, mop hallways
- Remove/ pull trash from floors , bring trash cans out or in building
Must be calm and able to handle people with drug, alcohol and mental issues.
Must pass criminal background and drug test. EOE.
