We’re looking for a Mental Health Technician to assess client needs and monitor client behavior while in our treatment programs.
- You will be a part of creating the best first impression for our clients - from reaching out to confirm their arrival time, to processing their intake upon arrival, and beyond!
- You will be a part of the client care team by helping to coordinate treatment and executing daily programming!
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completion of all Mental Health Technician duties and/or documentation within Wood Violet Recovery and state mandated timelines.
- Conduct client rounds according to state protocols and document appropriately.
- Complete new admission intake procedures according to Wood Violet Recovery policies on all new admissions (belongings searches, and paperwork).
- Administering completion of rounds on all clients.
- Crisis intervention.
- Assist, teach and/or supervise clients with general household chores, cleanliness and food preparation; Clean up as required.
- Assist Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse, and Clinical team in the provision of services to clients.
- Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings and community meetings, as assigned.
- Recognize individuals in crisis and document when needed in communication log and/or an Incident Report.
- Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification or willing to obtain.
- 1 year of experience in health care or customer service-related field preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field, OR actively pursuing a degree in an accredited program preferred.
- Ability to pass criminal/caregiver background check.
