What are the responsibilities and job description for the Woodberry Kitchen - Barista position at Woodberry Kitchen?
Woodberry Kitchen, Spike Gjerde's James Beard Award-winning restaurant in Baltimore, is seeking a Barista.
We're looking for a bright, energetic individual to join our Barista team. Baristas work as part of the service team to show every one of our guests a wonderful time. This is a high-volume restaurant with an unwavering commitment to our local growers, watermen, and producers. In joining our team, you'll be part of an effort to bring the highest quality food and beverage to our guests while supporting the people who make those offerings possible. We work as a team, so while working behind the barista station will be your domain, you will help on the floor as well with tasks like resetting tables and running drinks.
Our baristas expertly craft espressos, brewed coffees, cocktails, teas, and homemade sodas. We have made a commitment to serving excellent coffee in the form of a barista-driven coffee program that has its own well-equipped home in the restaurant. We serve many single origin coffees and work with a roaster that relies on transparent and direct relationships with their growers.
Our service here is warm, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. If you are passionate about great coffee, and want to work in a professional, supportive, and collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you. Also please note that we are in search of people who have full time availability (WEEKEND AVAILABILITY A MUST) and who are looking to work through and beyond the summer season. Please submit an application and include a resume and cover letter telling us a little bit about you and how you may be able to contribute to our team.
Our company is committed to equal employment opportunity. We will not discriminate against staff members or applicants for employment on any legally recognized basis including, but not limited to: race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin or citizenship, age, physical or mental condition or disability, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family responsibilities, personal appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, or any other protected class under applicable federal, state, or local law ("Protected Class").
