Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Woodbridge is a privately-owned company offering innovative material technologies for applications in automotive, commercial, recreational, packaging, healthcare and building products. In addition to manufacturing operations, the company also offers a full array of services including: chemical research and development, product and process engineering, tooling, technical support and accredited laboratory testing. Woodbridge operates more than 50 facilities across 10 countries—employing over 7,500 teammates and serving more than 600 customers worldwide.
Role Purpose:
Performs a variety of human resource functions, including: conducting hiring processes, new teammate orientation, administering benefits, entering teammate information into the automated resource system, maintaining personnel files and investigating workplace incidents/accidents.
Responsibilities:
- Performs new hire orientations which includes entering payroll data into ADP and logging new hire information into TeammateCENTRAL data base.
- Assist in providing effective training services for the facility through planning scheduling, monitoring etc. internal and external training programs.
- Maintain teammate personnel files, both manual and HRIS system files for hourly and salaried employees.
- Maintain effective employee relations by providing counsel to employees on HR matters.
- Updates the ADP and TeammateCENTRAL data base.
- Administer benefits program including medical, dental, pension, 401k, etc.
- Assist the HR Manager with other duties and projects as required.
- Participate in health & safety and quality audit process.
- Performs month end reporting .
- Interviews hourly candidates for employment.
- This position is responsible for certain HS&E elements: Return to Work, Medical Assessment, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree coupled with 5 years of HR experience.
- Professional Human Resources certification / accreditation preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of teammates of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills coupled with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, HRIS).
