Job Responsibilities
SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
- Understand ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 requirements. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through Olympic Products, LLC. Quality Policy.
- Develop and modify foam formulations that meet customer and organization expectations.
- Review KPI metrics such as yield and scrap reports.

Modify existing reporting systems for new methods, new material specifications and new products.
- Implement and optimize lean manufacturing procedures.
- Implement process improvements.
- Optimize and maintain 5S program.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.
Education
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Advanced mathematical training, lean manufacturing training, supervisory or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as lockout/tagout instructions, standard operating procedures, safety rules and training instructions. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
The mathematical skills required to satisfactorily perform this job include but are not limited to university level algebra, process controls and statistical analysis. Manipulation of production numbers to calculate yields, usages, and various other process indicators (using Microsoft Excel) is required. Individuals skilled in writing MS Excel macros are preferred.
