We are currently recruiting for a Door Builder / Machine Operator, to work in the interior door and molding division of Woodbury Supply Co Inc in Dayville, CT.

Summary
We are looking for a Door Builder / Machine Operator to join our interior door manufacturing division. Our "interior" shop specializes in hanging interior doors, fabrication of custom frames, prefabricated interior trim packages, along with many other related products for commercial, and residential uses.
Essential Functions
- Operate door hanging equipment and other wood shop tools
- Assembling and preparing interior doors for shipment.
- Set up machinery to the specifications of each job
- Coordinate work with shop foreman and project managers.
- Maintain high quality standards.
- Gather and/or fabricate material needed to perform assembly tasks
- Assist in shop cleaning upon completion of the day’s work
- Perform maintenance and basic repairs to equipment
- Superior time management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with a multitude of woodworking tools including but not limited to:
- Table saws, miter saws, routers, jointers, pneumatic staplers and nailers
- High quality workmanship
- Must be able to read and understand work orders specific to each project
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience or willingness to learn safe fork truck use
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Hand and power tool experience with a variety of wood working tools is a must
- Ability to use a tape measure with accuracy within 1/32”
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a team environment
- Prior finish carpentry experience or assembly of finished wood products
- Must be able to communicate clearly with team members and project managers
Physical Demands
Spend 8 or more hours of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands, lifting and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 60-125 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Work Environment
Any and all safety equipment including eyes, ears, and respiratory will be provided for use at all times, but the shop will expose you to inherent dangers associated with an environment like this.
May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
