Woodford County Illinois is currently seeking qualified applicants for the full time role of Administrative Assistant to support the Public Defenders Office. The Public Defender's Office is charged with the duty of representing individuals in criminal cases and select family and civil cases.
Responsibilities Include:
Administrative support duties such as: typing letters, memos, filing, answering phones, scheduling, organization, managing calendars and greeting clients.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in office procedures, file management and organization
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and detailed work assignments with accuracy and efficiency
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and also cooperatively with other staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an administrative assistant in a law firm or paralegal training
