Job Summary:
The role of the Grounds Crew Position involves keeping the mill grounds organized and maintained.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reclaim of banding boards, and pallets
- Recycling of cardboard, and brass shavings. Maintain trash cans.
- Clean up sawdust from cyclone, running the sweeper.
- Lawn, weed, and sprinkler maintenance. Parking lot maintenance. Includes filling holes, weed control, etc.
- Keeping outside material under tarps, keeping roof tops and ditches free of sawdust, and debris.
- Helping all other offices in the moving of equipment, furniture, etc. when called upon. General plant clean up.
- Other duties may be assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Demands: The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
