Job Summary :
The Inventory Control Forklift Operator, as part of the Inventory Team, is responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, pulling inventory to deliver to production work centers, and assisting with various forklift operations across the facility. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that materials are available in the production areas when needed.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Pull, stage, and deliver materials from the warehouse to various production work centers based on production schedules or requests.
- Assist in the inventory management process by organizing, storing, and retrieving materials in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate labeling and identification of materials, helping to maintain inventory integrity.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to help track and report on stock levels, helping to reduce inventory discrepancies.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers, ensuring materials are handled safely.
- Perform daily forklift inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working order, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Support other departments by performing various forklift duties, such as transporting goods between different facility areas.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices while operating forklifts and handling materials.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and stocktaking as part of the inventory control process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and other facility areas.
- Provide support during peak periods or special projects as required by management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Travel : This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
