Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Counselor
Location: Dayton, OH (On-site)
Schedule: Full-Time, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM (Evening Shift)
Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year

Woodhaven Residential Treatment Facility is a leader in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting recovery. We are expanding our services and launching an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to provide continued care and support to clients in early recovery.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed IOP Counselor to deliver individual and group therapy to adults in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role is ideal for professionals passionate about helping clients transition into independent recovery while maintaining a structured support system.
You will play a critical role in assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and leading therapy sessions to support their long-term recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate group therapy and individual counseling sessions focused on relapse prevention, coping strategies, and long-term recovery.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and ASAM criteria.
Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans to align with clinical needs.
Coordinate aftercare plans, including referrals to additional resources and community support groups.
Maintain compliance with clinical documentation standards, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
Collaborate with the clinical team to create an engaging, client-centered approach to treatment.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in a mental health or alcohol and drug (AoD) field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults with SUD; IOP or outpatient experience preferred.
- Licensure/Certification (Required): LCDCII, LCDCIII, LSW, LPC, or equivalent licensure in Ohio.
- CPR certification (companysponsored).
Skills:
Strong therapeutic communication and group facilitation skills.
Ability to assess client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
