Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Counselor to provide therapeutic services to adult clients in our outpatient substance use treatment program. The ideal candidate is licensed in the State of Ohio and experienced in group therapy, individual counseling, case management, and discharge planning. Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group therapy for adults with substance use disorders.
Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain compliance with ASAM criteria, HIPAA, and OhioMHAS standards.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centered treatment.
Participate in crisis interventions, case management, and urinalysis collection as needed.
Attend ongoing training and maintain active licensure.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree in chemical dependency or behavioral sciences (minimum).
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licensure (Required):
LCDC II, LCDC III, LSW, LPC or equivalent (Ohio licensure)
CPR Certification (company-sponsored if needed)
Skills:
Excellent clinical documentation and therapeutic communication.
Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF tools.
