Job Summary: The Assistant Swim Team Coach will assist the Head Swim Coach with all swim team practices, meets, and events. The Assistant Swim Team Coach has a direct responsibility of creating and maintaining a safe and fun environment for the swim team participants.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Proven swim team coaching experience.
- Experience working with children between the ages of 3-17.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to recognize what is needed for success for each student and respond accordingly.
- Desire to perform at a high level with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, all swim meets (Wednesdays), and Championship Weekend, and special team functions.
- Lifeguard certification preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar environment preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist Head Swim Team Coach with conducting structured practices during the week.
- Attend all swim team events such as meets, meetings, social events, etc.
- Engage parents and cultivate relationships to create a collaborative swim team environment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and fun environment for swim team participants.
Work Environment:
- The Assistant Swim Team Coach performs their work at the pool. This position is performed in outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $15-16/hour, depending on experience.
- Uniform provided.
- Complimentary employee meals.
- Use of Woodhill's exceptional facilities (golf course, tennis courts, and pool) on some Mondays.
