QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in transportation functions of a school district
- Experience in Data Base Management
- Familiar with Woodland Hills School District's boundaries and / or transportation routes
GOAL
To oversee facets of the District's transportation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the Peaceful Bus initiative to support discipline on busesModify bus routes to add students to vans transporting students with special needs and homeless studentsWill include reporting at non-standard hours starting at 6 : 00 am and include late hours in the event of a missing student or bus accidentDevelop and administer the transportation program to meet all requirements of the state, daily instructional programs and extra-curricular activitiesServe as the district liaison between the transportation carriers and the communities to maintain a professional working relationship while meeting the objectives of the districtResponsible for monitoring the delivery of all students to and from school. Will be required to be available to handle issues that may occur during the transportation processKeep records for preparation of state and local reports such as inventories, pupils transported, route mileage, time records, special trips, and other reportsTake an active role in solving problems occurring on school buses and acts as liaison with parent complaints and / or special requests. If not resolved at this level, he / she will investigate and proceed to resolve with the structure of the law, district policy and financial responsibilityTake an active role in ensuring route efficienciesModifies bus rosters using database software to ensure accuracy and adds / deletes students to rosters when applicableOther duties as assigned by supervisorTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
12 months, 8 hours / day.
