Position Title: Musical Director For Drama Production

Days/Hrs: Approximately 8 hours per week for 5 or 6 weeks

Pay: $1000 stipend

Job Summary: Works with drama executive director to put on Woodland School District drama performances. Musical Directing in preparation for performance and play accompaniment during training period.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent
• Experience in working with students as a musical director
• Ability to work and communicate well with staff members
• Ability to follow a variety of prescribed education strategies
• Ability to independently complete assigned tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in vocal auditions
• Coaches student actors as musical director
• Assists drama director in daily activities
• Assist administrators in maintaining appropriate discipline on campus and in school buildings
• Responsible to communicate effectively, be a team player and to treat all students with dignity
• Strong self-management skills, self-initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong regard for relationships with peers and children
• Punctuality, flexibility and good sense of humor
• Serve as a positive role model for students, and practices the behaviors that are expected of our students
• Work in a flexible and cooperative manner
• Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
