What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant position at Woodlands Development and Lending?
Job Summary
Woodlands Development & Lending is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of a full charge bookkeeper based in Elkins, WV. This position will enter, and supervise entry, of daily transactions and journal entries for multiple entities and other duties including:
- Maintain QuickBooks accounting system including payroll, AR, AP and full general ledger maintenance. Familiarity with the interaction of QuickBooks Chart of Accounts, Items, Classes, Customers and Vendors is helpful.
- Record, document and process transactions and organize supporting documentation using online filing system.
- Prepare payroll tax reports and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
Woodlands is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit that engages in comprehensive community development. We build housing for working families and seniors, renovate downtown structures, develop community amenities like trails and gathering places, and finance new and growing small businesses in the region. An understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with standard financial statements would be helpful.
