EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a medical office, hospital or long-term care facility highly recommended, not required.
- Computer aptitude to do inquiry, data entry and daily system operations.
- CPR Certification
- Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner.

- Math aptitude sufficient to balance and handle cash.

- Maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy and federal law.
- Adapt to variations in scheduling (including but not limited to overtime, work schedule changes or low census).
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- As the receptionist, you will greet patients and guests in a professional manner responding to questions or requests appropriately.
- Obtain complete patient demographic and insurance information for system entry and check patients in for appointments in a timely manner.
- Handle cash, balance the daily charges and perform daily deposit. Deliver deposits to bank daily as needed.
- Ensures that all telephone calls are answered promptly and handles or directs the calls appropriately.
- Schedules appointments according to specified guidelines.
- Performs office opening procedures and closing procedures independently as scheduled.
- Sort incoming mail and incoming faxes to then distribute accordingly.
- Scan necessary patient health information into EHR, and route into corresponding patient charts, ensuring accuracy. Route incomin electronic faxes in EHR ino patient charts.
Position: Days; Full-time; Monday-Friday
