Position Description:
- Participates in a variety of ultrasound procedures, the calculation of results, and the maintenance, review, and application of associated computer programs.
- Maintains the Radiology Department according to Local, State and Federal Laws pertaining to the use of radiation.
- Assists with new procedures, protocols, guidelines and techniques to improve patient care and customer satisfaction.
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
- Registered by one of the following:
- American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) with additional registry in Sonography (S)
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Required Licensure with the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of two years’ experience performing sonography procedures in a hospital environment preferred.
