Join Woodruff Property Management Company as a Property Maintenance Technician and become a key part of our team. This role is responsible for plumbing, painting, drywall repair, and preparing vacant apartments for move-in. You will also assist with the overflow of service requests, ensuring our properties remain in excellent condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Independent Work: Ability to work with minimal supervision, handle outdoor tasks in all weather conditions, and perform physically demanding work.
- Apartment Preparation: Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including making necessary repairs and replacements such as painting and cleaning out trash before, during, and after make-ready activities.
- Service Requests: Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and service requests as needed.
- Safety and Maintenance: During your duties, identify and repair maintenance issues or liability hazards and report them to the supervisor or manager.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and apartments to ensure long-term functionality.
- Attendance: Regular attendance is essential.
- On-Call Duties: Perform on-call duty for after-hours and weekend emergencies when assigned.
- Multi-Tasking: Assist in other areas of property maintenance as needed, including groundskeeping, trash pick-up, pool maintenance, housekeeping, and office support.
Requirements:
- Experience: One to three years’ experience in a maintenance position at an apartment community or a related position.
- Skills: Results-oriented and a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be mechanically inclined with knowledge in plumbing, construction, and electrical systems.
- Tools: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including freon recovery machinery, air conditioning gauges, and vacuum pumps.
- Flexibility: Ability to work weekends, holidays, and be available for emergency after-hours calls.
- Dependability: Reliable transportation and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clear Motor Vehicle Record.
