Woods • Peacock is looking for talented people interested in developing and advancing a professional career in structural engineering related to building structures. Position:
- Full-Time Structural Project Manager
- 10 years of experience in structural engineering with at least 4 years of project management
Responsibilities:
- Supervise structural designers and structural engineers
- Project management, reporting directly to Principals
- Communicate and coordinate with architects, engineers of other disciplines, and clients
- Supervise analysis and design of structural systems for all types of building materials using various building codes and standards (i.e. IBC, IEBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, UFC)
- Participate in field surveys and document existing conditions
- Review and evaluate existing building structural systems
- Write technical reports
- Attend all meetings and conference calls for assigned projects
- Oversee production of Contract Documents (i.e. Structural Drawings and Specifications)
- Oversee the review construction submittals, participate in construction observation, and respond to contractor inquiries
- Schedule staff hours, keep up-to-date on hours spent and cost expended for assigned projects
- Ability to manage all phases of assigned projects from conception to completion
- Review design calculations and details of designers and engineers
- Review scopes of work and prepare fee proposals
Required Qualifications:
- Able to work freely in the US now and in the future WITHOUT sponsorship
- Degree Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (BAE), or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (BSAE), or equivalent, with coursework specialized towards structural engineering
- Master’s Degree a plus
- Registered PE and/or SE
- Ability to and experience supervising and mentoring structural designers and engineers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational, time-management, and team skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to be challenged and develop new skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Software Experience: Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, MathCAD
- Experience with Deltek Ajera
- Able to obtain a secret or top-secret clearance, if needed
