Project Manager Summary:
Are you a strong operational leader with experience managing projects in the utility clearing industry? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Project Manager! This role requires travel to job sites across the Southeast. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of assigned projects—from inception and bidding to planning, execution, cost management, and final closeout. You will be responsible for directing and managing all personnel, including Woodson Tree LLC full-time and temporary employees, as well as third-party vendors, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Success in this role requires the ability to balance multiple priorities, manage complex project scopes, and navigate customer requests and industry regulations effectively. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Woodson Tree LLC safety procedures, company policies, and best practices, as well as all applicable local, state, and federal regulations for employees and vendors under their supervision.
- Develop and manage the project plans including the work schedule, goals and tasks through the Plan, Brief, Execute and Debrief work management cycle
- Coordinate the development of their Project plans and objectives with the VP Operations
- Ensure the development of Daily, Weekly and Site level work plans and objectives
- Coordinate deployment of personnel and equipment to achieve the daily, weekly and project level plans and objectives
- Manage, track, and report production including job costing throughout the project
- Ensure the management of employee performance and compliance issues; engaging management and the human resource department as required per company practices
- Ensure completion of all administrative requirements including but not limited to daily, weekly, monthly, project level reports and data entry
- Efficiently direct the management and maintenance of Woodson Tree LLC, tools and equipment including but not limited to basic machine maintenance, scheduled service, and repairs.
- Ensure the completion of all on-site communications including but not limited to daily plan briefings and debriefings, JSA’s, and tailboards
- Respond to Customer and Public requests as necessary to complete the project
- Oversight SWPPP plan implementation.
- Train on-site personnel on proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Maintain minimum stocking level of supplies and tools for equipment repair and crew safety
- Identify business opportunities
Required Qualifications:
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- Outstanding communication, conflict management, and interpersonal skills
- Must be available 24/7 to respond to customers’ emergency situations
- Proficiency in email, Microsoft Word, Project Manager, and Excel, with the ability to input and access required report data and perform basic job-costing analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent plus 3 years of experience
- Two or more years operating equipment of similar types and applications
- College Degree
Expected Hours of Work:
- Hours are subject to change based on business requirements and per company policy.
Travel Requirements:
- 80% to 100% (Must be able to work away from home) Southeast United States
Pay Range
- 75,000 (Based on experience)
