Job Summary
Woodville Pellets is seeking candidates for the position of Control Room Operator. This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the pellet production process from the control room, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The Control Room Operator will monitor HMI screens, facility cameras, and radio traffic, while maintaining production standards and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Duties
- Ensure task operations and production process runs smoothly.
- Review all quality checks and adjust process to meet parameters.
- Possess the ability to work safely; wearing appropriate PPE as necessary
- Perform water samples on the WESP once per week on Mondays β day shift
- Ensure routine preventative maintenance and repairs on the equipment are completed.
- Maintain Parts used inventory of Presses throughout each shift.
- Enter into the computer database the production tonnage, pellet tests and any maintenance performed.
- Upkeep Production Report and send out at the end of night shift.
- Monitor multiple HMI screens, Facility Cameras, radio traffic, control room phone, activities mill wide, to maintain a safe and effective Pellet Manufacturing Facility.
- Focus on maintaining optimal process operations.
- Meet production volume and quality standards.
- Ensure technical processing is optimal with minimal downtime.
- Work well and in conjunction with other departments as needed.
- Perform shift inspections on the appropriate inspection sheet.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
