What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Teacher position at Wor-Wic Community College?
Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a child care teacher. This position creates and manages an environment conducive to the learning and safety of children enrolled at the child development center. This position is considered a mandatory reporter for the Department of Human Services.
Essential Duties

- Plans lessons to align with and implement the required curriculum; assesses student development; creates and manages an environment conducive to the learning and safety of children enrolled at the center; and ensures children's basic needs, like nutritional and developmental education, are met
- Supervises student assistants and credit students who are working with children in the classroom
- Communicates information about classroom activities and / or concerns to parents
- Assists the director with identifying and ordering classroom materials and supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned

This is a full-time standard support staff position. Days and Hours of work are variable. The starting wage will likely fall around $20.82 but could reach $25.51 per hour for candidates with extensive experience and qualifications.
