JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Offset Press Operator will oversee the daily operations of the offset printing press department. This role involves ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the printing process.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all jobs have marked samples, load tickets are correct.
- Monitors his or her work to ensure consistent quality throughout each job.
- Ensures all job-related information is completed and processed properly.
- Follows departmental quality control procedures.
- Maintains press speeds that are within or above the estimating standards.
- Participates and supports the benchmarking process.
· Improves systems and processes to increase productivity and cut spoilage.
- Ensures materials are present to limit down time.
- Uses down time to improve runnability of equipment.
- Operates all equipment in a safe manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, equipment, and materials.
· Knowledge of the Metric system is a plus.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Be able to perform work related math functions (which includes the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide)
· Ability to read and write in English.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Good verbal and written comprehension, with ability to receive and follow instructions.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in printing technology preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in offset printing, preferably on a Komori with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Requirements:
· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, squat.
· Must be able to grasp, push, pull and have fine motor skills.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
