JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing Analyst is the lead report writer and analytics coordinator for the Office of Lifetime Engagement and Advancement Communications. The Digital Marketing Analyst has a direct impact on the fundraising capabilities of the University Advancement team by ensuring that data flows from Advancement technology solutions to Salesforce successfully and is accessible for reporting. This position is responsible for collaborating with the team on appropriate audience segmentations for the many communications sent by the Lifetime Engagement and Advancement Communications team through various channels and providing mailing lists to support solicitations and event invitations, as well as fulfilling data requests from partners across the university. The Digital Marketing Analyst is also responsible for reporting on analytics for the website, emails, mailings, and social media that will help the team make data-driven decisions for more effective outreach and fundraising campaigns.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Write reports to support Lifetime Engagement and Advancement Communications initiatives

Collaborate with the team on audience segmentation.

Provide mailing and email lists for solicitations, event invitations, and other communications.

Create reports to monitor the returns for solicitations and other communications.

Build reports to analyze marketing and communications efforts. Provide regular updates to the team on progress.

Fulfill data requests from colleagues outside of University Advancement to support cross-campus collaboration.

Collaborate with the team on audience segmentation.

Manage Bi-Directional Data Flow Between Salesforce and Technology Solutions
-
Provide support for FormAssembly connectors to Salesforce for event registration forms and surveys.
-
Ensure communication preferences in Salesforce mirror those in Marketing Cloud so we can adhere to best practices around alumni and donor wishes.

Create the appropriate structure within Salesforce to accept marketing analytics from all third-party technology solutions.
-
Assists with future technology implementations to ensure data is flowing properly between tools and Salesforce.

Perform batch updates to audiences within Salesforce to assist with communications outreach.

Provide support for FormAssembly connectors to Salesforce for event registration forms and surveys.

Monitor marketing analytics to enable data-driven decision making that drives more effective solicitations and communications.

Provide monthly marketing analytics reports to the team to track website usage and patterns.

Provide marketing analytics reports on solicitation mailings and emails to Annual Giving Communications team.

Present Senior Director of Advancement Digital Communications with weekly email analytics and monthly reports for division senior leadership.
- Monitor and report on social media analytics.

Provide monthly marketing analytics reports to the team to track website usage and patterns.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.

Minimum of three years of related professional work experience.

Fluency with Microsoft Excel and SQL.

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.)

Knowledge of Google Analytics and social media analytics.

Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to interpret data.

Salesforce administration and MarketingCloud experience preferred.

Good judgement and discretion in handling highly confidential and sensitive documents and data and exceptional attention to detail essential.

Ability to easily communicate complex ideas in simple yet effective terms.

Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
