Job Title: 50/50 Raffle Seller
Reports to: Coordinator of Community and Public Relations
Department/Group: The WooSox Foundation
Position Overview:
The WooSox Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Worcester Red Sox, seeks to make dreams come true for families in the city of Worcester, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the surrounding region. The WooSox Foundation’s initiatives are reflected through its “Starting 9” areas of focus: Education, Social Justice, Conquering Cancer, Diamond Sports, Mental Health, Veterans, Frontline Heroes, Pets, and Arts & Culture. Position Overview50/50 Raffle Sellers serve as the WooSox Foundation’s biggest revenue-generating employees who help fund programs within the Starting 9 during all WooSox home games. 50/50 Raffle Sellers are positive brand ambassadors for the WooSox Foundation and work together to achieve individual and team sales goals. Raffle tickets are sold from the time the gates open through the end of the game. This is a paid position.

Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell raffle tickets using a handheld device by roaming around the ballpark
- Manage and operate the WooSox Foundation table during home games to engage with fans and handle donations
- Deliver excellent customer service and serve as an ambassador for the WooSox Foundation by raising awareness and educating fans about who we are, what we do, and how we do it
- Accurately handle and account for large amounts of cash and distribution of raffle tickets, which are reconciled following each shift
Qualifications/Characteristics
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work at least 80% of WooSox home games
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduledHighly motivated, compassionate, respectful, and hard-working individual
- Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skillsInteract positively with fans and deliver the best experience possiblePrior sales and customer service experience preferred
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual, multilingual, and/or fluent in ASL
