What are the responsibilities and job description for the Large Group Sales Consultant position at Word & Brown Companies?
Purpose of Position: The Large Group Sales Consultant will partner with the Sales Teams in California and Nevada to promote the sale of Large Group Opportunities. This is a California based remote position requiring limited travel to Southern/Northern California and Nevada
Essential Functions:
- Have a focus on forward-thinking concepts and engagement, resulting in increased large group sales
- Prepare and present proposals and comparison spreadsheets, recommending the best options to clients based on their unique needs
- Analyze trends, carrier updates, and networks
- Work closely with brokers, carriers, sales, and statewide Sales Support staff
- Promote with both internal and external partners our Large Group Value Proposition
- Train Internal Statewide Staff with industry updates and trends
- Host Webinars/Training, along with sales brokers statewide
- Assist with client presentations and client implementation
- Implement strategies to educate and engage sales/brokers
- Assist with rate negotiation and resolution of inquiries
- On-site or remote regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
- Perform other business tasks or functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Computer literate; proficiency in Excel is a must.
- Prior health insurance knowledge a must.
- Excellent customer service, including verbal and telephone skills.
- Excellent grammar and spelling.
- Public speaking skills are required.
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to interface with Carriers, Brokers and Clients in a professional manner.
- Team-oriented.
- Must be able to work and achieve goals with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Must think outside the box and adapt to change.
- Valid CA Driver's license and transportation is required.
- California Life/Health License Must
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred
- Two to three (3-5) years minimum of industry experience.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasional standing and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
