Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Assembler/Testers for our Romeoville client.
Pay: $17.54 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, Saturday is voluntary OT
Job Details:
Performs a variety of shop operations including but not limited to hose preparation and assembly,
product preparation and assembly, crimping, cutting, buffing, testing, fitting, material handling as
specified by work orders. Conducts tests to determine quality and strength of product by performing
the following duties:
- Fabricates assemblies by measuring and cutting hose to specified lengths in accordance to manufacturing order and/or drawings to within established tolerances
- Cleans workpiece with file, hand brush, snip, or grinder
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and snips to product close fit between parts
- Operates table saw, band saw and grinders
- Installs fittings on hose assemblies or other object to seal outlets and connects object to high pressure air or water line
- Activates air compressor or water pump until gauge registers specified internal pressure
- Observes gauge for loss of pressure indicative of leaks
- Tests hose or hose assembly under pressure to ensure compliance with product safety ratings
- Marks object at source of leak for subsequent repair
- Trains other employees as needed
