We're partnering with a leading provider of plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning services to find a talented Commercial Electrical Estimator to join their team in Lititz, PA. In this role, you'll play a key part in estimating costs and preparing bids for commercial electrical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating Costs: Estimate costs for MEP systems on commercial new construction and renovation projects.
- Conceptual Design: Prepare cost-effective conceptual designs on design/build projects that meet client expectations.
- Design Development: Create sketches of designs to be drafted by CAD operators.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare written proposals and effectively communicate the proposal and scope of work to the customer.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with clients and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Project Coordination: Meet with project stakeholders, including owners, general contractors, and architects.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to achieve individual and company-wide goals.
- Resource Sharing: Work with other estimators to share resources and coordinate efforts.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the electrical trade, with a focus on commercial estimating.
- Experience in understanding project blueprints, design drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/equipment/labor/material estimates for projects and services.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Experience with Bluebeam, Trimble Estimation, and other relevant software is a plus.
- Knowledge of general construction practices.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code and NFPA 70E.
