Our staffing firm is seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of our company by managing all aspects of our accounts payable function.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Process invoices for temporary worker payroll, vendor services, and client billings, ensuring accuracy and completeness according to staffing industry regulations.
- Verify receipt of goods or services against purchase orders, time sheets, and client contracts.
- Code invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts specific to the staffing industry (e.g., temporary labor costs, client billings, worker benefits).
- Obtain necessary approvals for payments from internal departments (e.g., recruiting, payroll).
- Manage the timely payment process for temporary workers, vendors, and clients according to industry standards and company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurate and accounted for.
- Research and resolve vendor discrepancies related to temporary worker assignments or client billings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records specific to the staffing industry, including temporary worker payroll and client billing details.
- Assist the accounting team with month-end and year-end closing procedures for accounts payable functions.
- Generate reports on accounts payable activity, temporary worker payroll costs, and client billings to support internal financial analysis.
- Participate in the implementation and improvement of A/P processes to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for accounts payable management.

Qualifications:

Technology Proficiency:
- Experience with Google Business Suite & Microsoft Office preferred.
- QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred.
- SAP Concur experience preferred.
