Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is looking for an experienced and motivated candidate for an In-Shop Fabricator role in Allendale. As an In-Shop Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication of custom sheet metal components used in a variety of industrial applications. You will work with precision, attention to detail, and efficiency to ensure all parts are fabricated to meet client specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate sheet metal components from raw materials according to project specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and metalworking machinery to cut, bend, punch, drill, and shape sheet metal
- Assemble fabricated parts and perform final checks for quality and accuracy
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure precise fabrication of components
- Perform welding, riveting, and soldering as needed to complete assemblies and parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly cared for and stored
- Measure and inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet the required dimensions and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and company guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in the setup and operation of fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, and laser cutters
- Troubleshoot and resolve any fabrication issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production flow
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on fabrication equipment as necessary
- Must be able to travel for 25-30% of the job
