Job Title : Automatics Technician

Location : Grand Rapids, MI

Pay : $20-$25 / hr

Shift : 1st shift

Job Summary :

Workbox Staffing is hiring Automatics Technicians to work with a company that produces fabricated metal products. As an Automatics Technician, you will safely set up and operate automatic (Acme / Davenport) equipment, manufacture parts at the required production rate, and inspect parts using various measuring techniques.

Responsibilities for the Automatics Technician :

  • Make simple changeovers for machines
  • Adjust cams, gears, pushers, collets, threading spindles, brakes, and other standard tooling
  • Operate Acme or Davenport equipment safely and effectively
  • Measure and monitor parts to meet quality standards
  • Meet production rates and recognize changes
  • Cross-train and perform other tasks as assigned

Key Qualifications for Automatics Technician :

  • 5-7 years of experience setting up Acmes or Davenports
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferable but not required)
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
  • Strong commitment to quality work
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills
  • Basic computer skills

    • Preferred Skills for Automatics Technician :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Computer literacy (proficiency is a plus)
