Robot Weld Technician

3 rd shift 11pm-7am

Jpb Summary

Setup, teaching, troubleshooting and adjusting of robot welding equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate manual or robotic welding equipment to apply welds according to specifications

Test and debug robot programs

Maintain automated and robotic manufacturing methods and processes

Check quality of parts (visually, fixtures, testing)

Inspect welds and conduct tests to ensure welds meet or exceed standards

Modify robot movements to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality

Test and evaluate welding equipment

Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance

Assist in development of preventative management strategies

Provide training and guidance to associates

Perform all safety and quality requirements

Assist Maintenance Technicians with job duties as required

Key Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED, Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college o r technical school

6 months to 1 year of related experience and / or training K nowledge of Fanuc robots and robot controls Knowledge of welding standards

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations Preferred Skills

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units o f measure

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

Physical ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in a loud environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk o f electrical shock, and other hazards. H ow to
